Thank you for renting from the Surface Studio! In order to help maintain our current surfaces, and keep them in the best condition possible, we’ve created a list of care instructions. Thank you for reading!

1. The edges and corners of the surfaces are a bit fragile. Be careful not to bump them against walls or furniture when handling.

2. Clean the surface with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth immediately after use. Gently wipe or blot off any dirt or liquids, but be careful not to rub hard, as the texture or top coat may be damaged.

3. When wiping the textured surface, avoid using fleecy fabric as fibers may get caught in crevices.

4. Do not use the backdrop as the chopping board to avoid scratches and paint damage.

5. During use, be careful not to place anything hot on the surfaces as this could damage the finish. We recommend using cork or a towel/napkin in between hot plates/pans/etc. and surfaces.

5. Water or liquids can be used on some the surfaces for short periods of time (check description for each surface), but be sure to wipe them up immediately when finished as the surface can absorb the liquid overtime and bubble up as a result.

8. Fatty foods and oils may stain surfaces, so take care when handling these types of foods.

9. Pack surfaces in the carrying bag or the packing blanket provided to protect while traveling.
